Mission Statement


African Americans have a unique and different lifestyle compared to other ethnic groups. Our culinary traditions, lifestyles, and beliefs increase our chances of developing major health problems. Currently, the health and fitness aspects of African Americans are dealt with on an individual bases. There are few magazines and websites etc. that are totally devoted to intertwining the health and fitness of African American Families. Therefore, our mission is to provide our consumers with the educational resources to achieve there goals, as well as serve as an intermediary between you and the health and fitness companies that seek your services.

 

Antonio S. Williams, Founder and CEO

The visionary behind Black Health and Fitness is Professor Antonio Williams. Williams is the CEO of TonySentel Consulting LLC.,which is the parent company of Black Health and Fitness (BH&F). Williams is also a faculty member at Indiana University’s prestigious School of Health Physical Education Recreation and Dance (HPER). While becoming the youngest faculty member in the school’s history, Williams is also the first African American to pursue a Doctorate in Human Performance (Sport/ Fitness marketing) at Indiana University. As a member of the National Academy of Sport Medicine, he has trained, taught, and inspired hundreds of students and clients. Professor Williams has served in capacities such as, Strength Coach, Trainer, Professor, Consultant, and Administrator. He coordinates yearly events and consults on topics that include but are not limited to the marketing of fitness, benefits of exercise and physical activity, and consumption of sports and fitness within diverse populations. Professor Williams has a passion and dedication for his craft, and believes in a lifestyle approach to health, fitness, and wellness.
